Rachel joined the Olde Naples Animal Wellness Center team in 2026. She studied Veterinary Medicine at the Agrarian University of Havana in Cuba, where she completed five years of training and graduated with the highest score on her thesis. She also volunteered with the Spanky Project, helping provide veterinary care and spay/neuter services for pets in need.
After graduation, Rachel worked as an assistant veterinarian in Cuba before moving to the United States. She continued pursuing her passion for veterinary medicine and is proud to now care for patients as part of the Olde Naples Animal Wellness Center team. Rachel’s love for animals began during her childhood in the Cuban countryside, where she grew up surrounded by animals and developed a passion for rescuing and caring for those in need. She shares her home with three rescue pets: Killer, a Chihuahua, and two kittens, Julieta and Chance. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and boyfriend, playing tennis, reading at the beach, going to the movies, and trying new restaurants.
